2012 Hyundai Elantra being investigated

When the driver of a 2012 Hyundai Elantra got his ear cut in half from his airbag, the ears of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration perked up. What? Too soon?

No longer will you be able to get the 2013 Hyundai Sonata with a manual transmission. This change will take place with the 2013 model but will offer more standard equipment in return. If Hyundai was to make a Veloster convertible, would you buy it? The Veloster looks pretty darn good now as it is but could you imagine a convertible AND a turbo?

The new 2012 Hyunda i20 is being touted by Hyundai as the most environmentally friendly car on the planet that is still powered by a conventional engine.
One of the four new engines that are coming out is a 1.1 liter three cylinder diesel that puts out 74 horsepower. Just to put things in perspective, this engine only puts out 84 g/km of C02 where as the 2012 Toyota Prius hits the meter at 110 g/km.
